Purpose in Life

I came upon by chance this prayer which i think is quite beautiful and i think is quite appropriate for me and manhy of my friends at this current stage of life...
this prayer's main focus is on searching for purpose in life which all of us do disregarding where we are, who we are, how old we are.....

Dear Lord, I am searching for meaning in my life. Sometimes I get so confused about where to go or what to do. I ask you, Lord, in Your divine time. to reveal these things to me.

I know that Your plans for me are for good and not for evil. I know that Your plans are designed to bring me a hope and a future. I am nothing without You, Lord.
Everything that I could ever hope to be is found in You alone. Help me in my search for purpose to find You and to not be led astray by the other voices that I hear.

Help me to not be stressed about my direction, but in everything to seek Your guidance. I make the commitment to place my future in Your hands. Only You know what is best for me. Bring godly friends to my side to help confirm the words that You place in my heart.

I do not ask these things out of selfishness or ambition but just so that You will be glorified through my life. Let Your glory and Your love show through me in my purpose.
