Nada es imposible para Ti

Whoa..it's been a long long time since i last updated my blog..... and here i am telling ppl that theirs is outdated..... what a hypocrite i am.... bluek. well, will try to learn from life's lessons....

this blog is gonna be a reflection... a personal reflection on a season which we or at least i will be "celebrating"... no , it's not Chinese New Year and all the angpows. it's something more important than that... LENT!!!

"Nada es imposible para Ti" which literal translation means "Nothing is impossible for You" is perfect when reflecting on lent. Lent is a perfect time for us to STOP, LOOK and GO. to look at ourselves, our lives.... to see what we are doing, how we are living... to reflect on whether we have deviated from the road... if we have made a turn somewhere, it is the time to stop and make a u-turn back onto the road, if we are asleep and are about to drive off it, this is the time to wake up, to realize our surroundings, and to drive back into the middle fo the road... if we are going in the opposite direction, stop, think , and make a u turn, it is not too late...

Lent is a time of preparation, a preaparation for the resurrection of Jesus, on his passion on the cross, a time to prepare for our rebirth in faith.... how are you responding to this? what are you doing now? there are ppl hungry, ppl who go without food, shelter in the world, and here we are, able to have all the comforts in the world... able to come online and read this..... do we think when we don't finish eating our food, do we think of the ppl who have nothing to eat and would be dying to have whatever little left overs we have.... when we spend our money on chinese new year shopping... there are many more who go without clothes....

When we go out and enjoy ourselves.... go for movies, have lunch at the restaurant, buy stuff, do we think twice and thank god for how privileged we are? or do we just say "hey, it's something normal which i do always, it's my hard earned money (or at least it's my parents), i dont need to thank god."

when we go to places like the clubs and for parties, when we enjoy ourselves, do we think of others who are suffering?

When you see someone less fortunate, do you have a feeling of sympathy or concern for him/her? so you try to do something to alleviate the situation? so you try to help? Nothing is impossible for you... act now!!!

Prayer, fast, and almsgiving...the fifth precept of the Catholic church..... what does this mean for you during lent? are they just traditions? do you dop it cause your parents ask you to practice it? or do you do it willingly, wholeheartedly??? because you want to do it? Now is the time.... what do you hvae planned? nothing is impossible... Act now, indulge yourself in creating a closer relationship with God, with his Son who came and died for us.....

Even if you are not catholic, take a moment to STOP what you are doing, LOOK at your life. is this how i like to live?? is this what i want for myself, my loved ones, ppl i care about , my friends.?? decide and GO about changing your life.... reflection is a time to look back and to improve the future.... spend some quiet time with yourself...ask " do i know who i actually am?" and you will be surprised with the answers....Nothign is impossible for you.

wishing every one a fruitful LENTEN season, may it be a time of constructive reflection.
