Greetings from Oslo

Norway for us so far has been quite a successful experience. We arrived here 3 days ago and after some initial difficulty in getting a place to stay due to the tourist office lady telling us that no places in hotels were available for the night (note the word hotels and not hostels), we were able to get a place to stay. This is first experience for me and also for my friends of backpacking I think, and it has been quite a time.

I did not manage to see the Oslo Cathedral as it is all draped in plastic, under which major renovation and restoration is being done... This is first time I have seen a plastic cathedral.

Tongiht we will be attempting to catch the Aurora Borealis, or better known as the Northern Lights, in Tromso, somewhere up north beyond the Arctic Circle... A little closer to where Santa is, maybe I'll catch him in time for Christmas?

Anyway, that's it for now I guess as we are heading off to the airport now...
