One Year On...

One year on... and the SPM results for 2005 are out...
In SXI... Ihave a worthy successor in Quah Huat Beng..
I'm really happy for him...
Overall, the school did much better than my year, 5 straight a1's and 18 straight a's
Anyway, this is how i feel about this recent event...it's a blog from a friend with whom i wholly agree...

13 March 2006 marks the beginning of a new life for many SPM 2005 students. It also brings me back to my own version of 13 March 2006, which was on 10 March 2005. Who can forget the happy/nasty/wonderful/exciting/disappointing/unfair/justified moment when the non-waterproof slip was passed to your hand, on the stage or off?

However, there was still a reason to celebrate for those who did it - for those who have managed to read the examiner's mind, and for those who managed to write out the contents of the marking scheme.

Does SPM determine the success in life? Not only SPM, no single examination in this materialistic world can guarantee a person's success in life. I knew about this, but I still let the power of corrupted media to control my mind-to make me believe that SPM IS everything.

I can still recall. The small congregation that follows me. They give no attention to the results at all. They control their beliefs and they know that I am good, anywhere I am. I can also still recall the others who deserted me. They must have think "This guy ain't good in studies at all. I am going nowhere if I am to make friends with him."

Could it be different if things are the other way round? If I got 11A1s, would my perspective be different? Will I not say "SPM determines everything, and yes, I will have everything I want now"? It may be hard to believe, but then I don't think I will be happy for long.

personally, i've been pretty busy lately with the final internal assessments due...
woke up at 3am this morning to prepare my english oral presentation...which turned out to be a little similar to Marie's and Valerie's.
WIll wake up early again to finish my final Chemistry lab write up ever... which is due tomrorow and then it's just down the final bend and down the straight to the finish line...study study study....
did i actually say that?
