This does not come as a surprise at all...
The most striking ignorance was displayed by respondents between the ages of 19 and 24.

Only 38% of the young respondents could provide the number of Gospels in the New Testament, and another 38% could give the number of Catholic sacraments.

Hehe.. mark, we don't really need a survey to know that, do we?
Hey Mark, indeed we do not need one at all, all the survey does is to give us concrete numbers to quote of what we already know is evident... Over the weekend, I was in Glendalough (which means the land of 2 lakes) and so I missed my regular morning mass at University Church. No, I didn't skip mass, but decided to go to another church in the evening for a "Youth Mass". The amazing thing is that youths are apparently aged 50 and above over here... hehe... the place was filled with these "young" people who were singing out of tune and all, and the priest trying to add a few extra words and taking some away some every now and then... I was put off and really am going to try not to miss my regular mass in the morning... Oh, just some other numbers, the daily mass attendance at my university is about 2 or 3, of which 1 is usually an academic staff.. but the mass must go on...
