Getting excited

My parents are on their way...

I called them about an hour ago, and they were at the gate waiting... and their plane just left 3 minutes ago...

I will be there to meet them tomorrow evening when they arrive at Heathrow...

To think that it took my dad 60 years and a mountain load of persuasion to get to Europe!!!

I'd like to think that I'm well travelled, compared to him at least- but then again, my brother will have been to Heathrow more times than me in the past year- what an irony!

Anyway, it's the 3rd Sunday of Advent or Gaudete Sunday- and it truly is a reason to rejoice!

Here are some things to look forward to in the next couple of weeks:

1. My first "full" family vacation abroad ever!
i.e. the last time we had a family vacation, either
a) my brother was not born yet, or
b) my sister was overseas studying, or
c) I was in Dublin
2. Leading a day tour to Dublin
3. Dad's 61st birthday
4. Marie's (2nd) Graduation
5. My 4th trip to Rome in 24 months!
6. Christmas celebrated as a family for the first time in 4 years!
7. Mom & Dad's 27th Wedding Anniversary
