2 Boxes

God once gave me 2 boxes, one was gold and the other a black box. He told me to put into the gold all my happiness and joys and in the black all my sorrows and regrets. I did as He told me to and I found that as the days went by, the gold box became heavier and heavier while the black one remained as light as before. I was curious and so I decided to open the black box. In it I found that the box had a hole where all my sorrows and regrets had fallen through. I asked God where they had all fallen to and why there was a hole in the black box and he answered: “My child, they are all here with me. I gave you that box to put all your sorrows in so that you could share it with me.” So you see, in life, we have to forget our sorrows and regrets and lift them up to Him and remember to count our blessings which we put into the gold box.
